Nilsson Winches & Engineering manufacture, in New Zealand, the range of Seawinch anchor capstans, docking and mooring capstans and furling winches. The winch range also includes captive sheet winches for super yachts. Nilsson Winches & Engineering are the original Nilsson winches manufacturer and still carry some spares for the original Nilsson Winches.

Nilsson Winches & Engineering is a registered private company, based in the “City of Sails” – Auckland, New Zealand. Manufacturing a range of Winches for primarily Marine use but also a variety of other applications. A major part of the business is design and manufacture of marine anchor and sheet winches for pleasure craft.  Nilsson Winches & Engineering also manufactures engineering components to customer specification.

We offer a full workshop service for our winches and frequently service other brands.  Service can include load testing of DC and hydraulic winches.

Nilsson products include the following brands manufactured by us in New Zealand since the late 60's:
Nilsson Engineering, Nilsson, Nilsson Winches, James Nilsson, Simpson Lawrence Pacific range, Seawinch ©, Whitworth and Lightening

We also offer service on most other brands including:
