Information:

Important! While motor is disconnected, check brake operation by applying DC power to brake terminals. When power is applied, it should be possible to turn the winch using a large bladed screwdriver. If brake does not release, it may need servicing.

Remember when installing new motor, to wire in brake across motor terminals. Direction of motor rotation may be changed by switching main terminals from side to side.Use "Loctite" screw locking compound or similar on all screws.
